Think sustainably!

One of our core competences is already a model for sustainability: sharpening worn tools. The effort to produce new tools is avoided for as long as possible. Thanks to innovative technologies that are already used when constructing the tools and a precise wear analysis, our tools can be reworked or sharpened several times. This enables significantly more grinding cycles, which improves the economics and protects the environment.

We already pay attention to maximum resource recovery during production. The sludge from the grinding processes is separated, into carbide and HSS, and used to recover valuable raw materials.

High investments in sustainable energy solutions

Many small measures have a large overall effect.

Frequency-controlled coolant pumps and extraction systems, timer switches, compressed air reservoirs, using the machine waste heat and much more. The total simply adds up.

Room and hall climate, CO2-neutral heating and cooling

Large investments in remodelling work have benefited both the room and hall climates, as well as the environment.

Of course, optimum air conditions contribute to worker protection by ensuring a healthy and modern work environment for employees. But they are also crucial for the product quality of the produced cutting tools and their output.

We are energy self-sufficient in heating and cooling.

The measures range from the modernisation of the entire ventilation system, air purification and recovery of heat from production to heating with BIO mass. The cooling of the production hall is also CO² neutral due to cold water from the in-house well.

Photovoltaic system

We cover around 50% of our annual electricity requirements with our 110 KW photovoltaic system. Thanks to the different module alignments on 5 roofs, we achieve a high proportion of internal consumption.

Elektro Auto

Zwei elektrische Opel Vivaro haben wir bereits erfolgreich und zuverlässig als Lieferfahrzeug im Einsatz. Jährlich werden wir 50.000 km emissionsfrei zurücklegen. Sollte aus Witterungsgründen unsere eigene PV-Anlage zum Tanken einmal nicht ausreichen, wird ausschließlich Ökostrom dafür bezogen.
